Your Library Now Offers Streaming Video

Roselle Public Library is pleased to announce the addition of a new streaming video service, Kanopy, to our digital collection.

Kanopy is a video streaming platform with one of the largest and most unique collections in the world featuring over 26,000 movies, documentaries, and indie and foreign films from hundreds of producers including The Criterion Collection, The Great Courses, Kino Lorber, PBS, and thousands of independent filmmakers.

Kanopy’s motto is "thoughtful entertainment" - seeking to provide library patrons with access to not just entertainment, but films of unique social and cultural value; films that are often difficult or impossible to access elsewhere. Kanopy is also committed to diversity, with an amazing array of foreign language films and films on race, LGBT and more. Kanopy’s films are also compatible for the hearing impaired (with captions and transcripts) and visually impaired (compatible with technologies such as JAWS).

"Library users have been asking for a streaming video service and Kanopy certainly fills that need," said Lynn Dennis, the Library's Automation Coordinator. "So many films to choose from and so easy to use!"

The new Kanopy service is FREE. Log in to your library Kanopy account by providing an email address and creating a password. Then all you need is your Library card and PIN. Try it today!
