Summer Reading Book Review - In Tuscany

Book Title: In Tuscany

Author: Frances Mayes

Reviewed By: Lynn R.

"In Tuscany" is a book about the many aspects of life in Tuscany, Italy. The book is rich with photographs and recipes. The book discusses village life, celebrations, farming (olives) and the kitchen. The author's husband also wrote some poems that are included in the book. It would make a lovely coffee table book.

Why you picked it up: I was looking for a book from the display of travel books. I chose the book "In Tuscany" after hearing that it was written by the author of "Under the Tuscan Sun".

Why you finished it: "In Tuscany" has lovely photographs and interesting stories and recipes included in the book. These recipes also give English measurements which is helpful. I have never been to Tuscany but would someday like to travel there.

Who you would recommend it to: I would recommend this to anyone interested in travel and information about Tuscany. It is not a recent book but the photographs are wonderful. The writing beautifully describes life in Tuscany.
