Summer Reading Book Review - Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear

Book Title: Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear

Author: Elizabeth Gilbert

Reviewed By: Tara E.

The author shares anecdotes about her own career to motivate readers to keep being creative. She provides arguments against the cultural ideas of what a struggling artist should look like. She also shares advice about how she tackles those hard days when you don't want to work. Lastly, she teaches the reader how to fail well.

Why I Picked it Up: It was my Book Club's June pick.

Why I Finished It: I was interested in her ideas about how to keep being creative even when you feel like giving up or times are tough.

I’d Give this Book To: Anyone who wants to tap into their creative side. This book is not just for writers. This book can apply to dancers, artists, musicians, and any one else in the creative arts.
