Summer Reading Book Review - Dressing on the Side (and Other Diet Myths Debunked)

Book Title: Dressing on the Side (and Other Diet Myths Debunked)

Author: Jaclyn London

Reviewed By: Lynn R.

Dressing on the Side(and Other Diet Myths Debunked) touts 11 Science-Based Ways to Eat More, Stress Less, and Feel Great About Your Body. The author discusses solutions to the most common excuses for not eating healthy. Whether your problem is lack of time, lack of funds, or that grocery shopping causes anxiety, the author provides suggestions to help solve the problem. The information gives you options to consider. One example is sneaky foods that contain sugar (spoiler alert: crackers and condiments).

Why you picked it up: The author has an MS in clinical nutrition from NYU who is also a RD and CDN. I chose this book because it is a recent publication.

Why you finished it: It was an interesting book. The protips sections gave me food for thought such as questions to ask while grocery shopping. It is helpful that the book names specific brands of products.

Who you would recommend it to: I would recommend this book to people looking for ways to change their life in regards to diet. I should mention that the author does use some expletives which I think were unnecessary. The vowel in the word is an asterisk but this type of language is offensive to many.
