Summer Reading Book Review - My Sister Marilyn
Author: Berniece Baker Miracle
Reviewed By: Carol S.
This is a memoir about actress Marilyn Monroe written by her sister and niece.
It traces Marilyn's roots back to when she was Norma Jeane and just starting out in life. Norma's journey and discoveries are eye openers. Written by her sister who loved her dearly, it shows the real person behind the actress facade.
Why I Picked it Up: I have always been curious about the real Norma Jeane and the truth behind her picked out personality. I knew there was a smart, generous, yet insecure person behind the Hollywood creation. It turned out there was!
Why I Finished It: I could not put it down. You will get wrapped up in the unique people both Marilyn and her sister are and their special bond.
I’d Give this Book To: All adult readers.
